They are Working on Curing Blindness

*Something crossed my desk this week that stopped me cold.*

A company called Life Biosciences has just dosed the first human patient in a trial designed to reverse damage to the optic nerve, not slow it, reverse it. The therapy, ER100, uses a gene-delivery approach to help aging retinal cells behave like younger ones again. We’re not talking about slowing vision loss. We’re talking about waking up cells once thought beyond saving.
